They can reduce physical barriers without reducing artistic ambition. They can allow someone with limited mobility, chronic illness, visual impairment, fatigue, pain, neurological differences, or inconsistent working hours to direct a process that would otherwise require a studio, a crew, travel, equipment, and money they may never be able to access.
