Darkfaery Subculture Magazine Is Open Again

The new site is live, the mission statement is posted, submissions are open, the creative transparency policy is in place, and the Darkfaery Network has a home.

This is not just a website refresh. It is a rebuilding.

Darkfaery is returning as an independent gothic and alternative media hub for music, books, fashion, reviews, AI/hybrid art, creator spotlights, scene history, strange essays, old memories, new signals, and beautifully unruly voices.

We are here for the handmade, the digital, the synthetic, the haunted, the experimental, the elegant, the messy, the sincere, and the strange.

We are not here for gatekeeping.
We are not here for cruelty-as-content.
We are not here for trash talk, bad-faith reporting, pile-ons, or mean-girl energy.

Darkfaery has always believed that people should have room to become themselves. Some of us came out of old scene spaces, old web spaces, old vampire corners, old goth rooms, old message boards, old Myspace days, old clubs, old zines, old dreams, and strange little communities that helped people find their confidence before they knew how to name it.

That spirit is still here.

This new version of Darkfaery is built around transparency, consent, credit, respect, and creative freedom. We welcome human-made work, AI-assisted work, hybrid work, digital art, traditional art, music, writing, fashion, performance, photography, and the strange things that do not fit neatly into one box.

We will not treat AI-assisted or hybrid artists as lesser artists. We also will not use technology as an excuse for theft, deception, impersonation, or erasing human labor. The rule is simple: be honest about the process, respect the people involved, credit what should be credited, and do not use creative tools as weapons against one another.

Submissions are volunteer-only at this stage. Darkfaery does not currently profit from submitted work, and we are not able to pay contributors right now. Content will be added as it is received, prepared, and cleared by permission.

If you want to send music, books, art, fashion, essays, memories, press materials, interviews, or strange little sparks, please read the Submissions page and Creative Transparency Policy first.

Darkfaery is open again.

Come weird.
Come honest.
Come ready to treat people well.
