As the New Year approaches the staff and I have decided it is time for some changes in our websites, the print magazine, and for The Darkfaery Girls. The first thing I want to address is that there are some ladies out there pretending to be Darkfaery Girls. If someone comes to your event or store and claims to be Darkfaery staff or a DFG ask them to show you a badge before giving them free entry or service.  Unless they have cleared something with me, Darkfaery Girls work in groups. I rarely send just one girl into the fray. The only girls who are authorized to make choices or take on random events are Trista Lou, Pandy, Eve, Mandy, and Shadowleaf. EVERYONE else will need my permission to attend events, shows, meetings, or represent Darkfaery in any way.   It is true that we receive store discounts and free entry to a lot of various places and because of that we have a lot of people trying to take advantage of that. Becoming a part of Darkfaery is as simple as an e-mail or an application turned in and then you are welcome to share in our perks, that‘s the advantage to becoming a Darkfaery Girl or Boy, but you must do your part. No Free rides. In the future we will have to take legal action against people who do this.   So in light of this, all staff will be receiving new badges for 2010 and the 2008/09 badges will no longer gain you entry to Darkfaery happenings. You can keep your old badges, we don’t want them back.    The next two events where you will find us will be Carnival of Cleavage Presents: XXX-Mas Spectacular! With Guest Performances by the 7 Deadly Sins Revue (Burlesque) from OKC, Merry Anne Moan (Burlesque) from OKC, & Guest Vivienne Vermuth (Burlesque) from Texas at The Attic (formally known as the Rock Lounge & located upstairs of Charley’s Last Stand Bar. 4415 SW 3rd St Oklahoma City, OK 73108 (405) 946-4110 And Underground Horror Fest is a one day mini convention with the best in live bands, vendors, guest (artist, writers, actors, FX artist and filmmakers) plus an after party with some of the Best DJ’s and Sideshow acts and much more. The Show will be in Tulsa February 6th 2010 Start At 3:00 P.M. till 2:00 A.M. All ages, $7 for all day at The Rose Bowl 7419 East 11th Tulsa, Oklahoma on Highway 66   If you want to send us promotional material for these two events we’d be happy to make sure it goes out to the right crowd.  As always, we encourage you to dress up in costume or just as your cool self, because we do take photos at every show and you never know which ones will end up in the print issue. Onto the websites, if you are using any of the artwork from http://www.dfsm.org this is a heads up, copy it to your hard drive and upload somewhere else because all of my old artwork is getting deleted to make room for new stuff and an all new Darkspace Graphics site. I find myself using myspace less and less and I am bored with making layouts, plus there are just too many sites out there scamming people. It doesn’t seem worth it. http://www.darkfaery-subculture.com/ will be changing drastically also, in February the new site will go live and it will be a lot like Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace. Everyone has been asking me for years to do something about the profiles, or lack of, that we have now. I’ve been working on it since October and it’s pretty close to being finished. Darkfaery Girls will be able to sign up and get assignments right from the website, which will cut back on the text messaging and phone calling at all hours of night. I can’t wait!   Well, that’s it for me for a week or two. Happy Holidays and remember the magazine on sale from Thanksgiving Day (November 26th) through January 1st, 2010 get 25% off the first issue http://magcloud.com/browse/Issue/21588  and look for the second issue on February 1st, 2010 or meet us at Underground Horror Fest for a chance to get an autographed copy!
